Conversations with My Ulcer

ulcer

I decided to name my stomach ulcer, and to embrace it, with the hope that it would feel recognized and validated, and thus heal faster.  For some reason, it seemed to distinctly require a male name, and so, it has been dubbed  “George”.

Today at McDonald’s:

George: mmm, a nice cold iced latte sounds good.

Me: yes it does but coffee is not very good for you.

George: but milk is soothing and a latte is mostly milk anyway! it has very little coffee at all!

Me: good point.
